2010 Camp Session |
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
We have moved to YMCA Camp Ocoee in Ocoee, Tennessee from Ney-A-Ti, Guntersville, Alabama. We will have some more activities now. Since Christian Camp for the Deaf was established in the year of 1957, this traditional camp had been mainly only for the children from ages 9 years old to the senior high along with the qualified staff. But from now on, it is different. We are offering the "Family Camp" which will be a very unique experience for everyone who wants to come to this camp from all over the United States and even the world.
Who says camp is just for kids? Adults can play and experience the thrills and joys of camp as much. As previously, I have been watching the majority of campers return year after year, many following older brothers and sisters, as well as earlier generations. These campers experienced a tradition of camping for excellence. This new Family Camp will be a greatly rewarding experience from the young campers to grandparents. There is always a strong emphasis on building family togetherness in the Christian atmosphere and enjoying new things in a relaxed, friendly environment. It will be a combination of the children from ages 9 through the senior high school, staff, parents, grandparents, adults, preachers, teachers, and retirees. It is a wonderful opportunity for the generations to be united. The campers will have their regular varied programs and will be supervised by qualified counselors and staff. Adults may choose to participate in most activities offered.
You all are encouraged to make your reservations early and participate together at Christian Camp for the Deaf as part of your summer vacation. Plan ahead now and come to experience the Ocoee spirit in July! The staff and I will be looking forward to seeing many of you soon.
